Youth Council's "Talk About It" Goes Gold!

Take a look at what a group of kids can do when presented with the challenge of combating negative stereotypes.

The Epilepsy Foundation of Colorado Youth Council's "Let's Talk About It" video won the National Health Information 2010 Gold Award.  The National Health Information Awards program honors high-quality consumer health information and is organized by the Health Information Resource Center (HIRC), a national clearinghouse for consumer health professionals who work in consumer health education fields.  The video will also be showcased at the upcoming Epilepsy Foundation of America (EFA) Leadership Conference in September.

We are so proud to present this video:

A New Health Plan for Colorado is Announced

In a press conference on July 6, 2010, Governor Bill Ritter announce a new federally funded health plan, GettingUSCovered.  This plan provides health coverage to uninsured Coloradans with pre-existing medical conditions.

GettingUSCovered is a new, comprehensive health plan that will provide a strong statewide network of doctors, a prescription plan, preventative coverage, and more. It was established to expand coverage to Coloradans who have been uninsured for at least six months and who have a medical condition that prevents them from getting insured.  Check out the GettingUSCovered website for more details on the plan and how to apply.
